* Fortune says that Apple’s share of the operating system market grew 3.34% in November to hit a record 6.81%, according to the results of a Net Applications survey. “Net Applications’ monthly surveys do not measure market share in terms of computer systems sold, rather, they sample data from visitors to some 40,000 websites operated by their clients. As such, their findings are probably better described as a snapshot of installed base taken from a less than random sample.
V NBC is Out, is Apple Hurting?
www.tuaw.com—report-shows-apple-needs-nbc-back-like-yesterday
* Last week all NBC content was officially removed from the iTunes Store, however according to a Forrester Research Study, the move may be hurting Apple more than NBC. According to analysts for Forrest, 30% of all video downloads on iTunes were NBC shows and the percentage of people who buy videos from iTunes is still relatively low. There is also a lot of competition in the Video world compared to Music with Amazon unbox (not mac compatible) and free streaming ad supported shows from the networks.

V Is iPhone v.1.1.3 around the corner?
* TUAW is reporting that a firmware upgrade is about to be released for the iPhone that would bring voice recording and disk mode features to the iPhone. They say the update could come as early as Saturday, December 8th but the question always remains, what functionality will be lost by the new update. Will we will be able to easily add ringtones by renaming file extensions and will third party apps and unlocked phones still work? TIme will tell, if you have a hacked iPhone, proceed with caution.
