* Corey: Had a problem with updates through iTunes

V AppStore Happenings
* 1Password Released for iPhone

V Null River's NetShare Tethering solution released, then pulled
* NetShare is a $9.99 iPhone tethering application that allowed you to share your iPhone's 3G or EDGE connection with your laptop running OS X or Windows. Unfortunately, AT&T's terms and conditions forbids tethering with the iPhone. Yet, Apple apparently approved the App and it was released on the App Store for a short period last Thursday then mysteriously pulled. It appeared again for a longer period of time on Friday, and then was pulled again without explanation.

* People who got the Application report that it works well but is somewhat difficult to configure. However guides have been released.

* Neither NullRiver or Apple has commented on the happenings. Nullriver seems to be at a loss as to why the app was allowed, then pulled so randomly. Suposedly Apple screans all Apps before approving them which leands one to wonder why this application was ever approved in the first place if it violates AT&T's TOS

* Still unknown as to what will happen to people who purchased the Application. If you have it, it's recommended you make a backup copy as some users are reporting it has mysteriously disappeared, though this is likely a syncing issue.
* $1000 "I Am Rich" Application brings concerns about the crap Apple is allowing on the store

* Any other new favorite Apps?
V MobileMe Mess
* Although most of the problems seem to now be resolved, the mobile me service had a horrible launch.
* Walt Mossberg called it too Flawed to be Reliable

* David Pogue called it a Mobile Mess

* Katie's big complaint was lack of communication. Apple claimed that only 1% of users were impacted, but that still means 20,000 people had no access to email. Others, like Katie, had sporadic issues and still doesn't know whether she lost email. Apple finally started a MobileMe blog in an effort to open up communication. But it hasn't been updated regularly.

* Steve Jobs admitted in an internal email that Mobile Me not up to Apple's standards and they should have rolled it out more slowly. The MobileMe teem has since been reorganized.

V Stories of Macs Being Discriminated Against by State Bars
* It's Bar Exam time and Katie is thrilled that she doesn't have to go through that experience again. However, there have been a slew of stories about Macs being "discriminated against" by Bar Examiners. Several state bars have announced they will not allow test takers to take the exam on a Mac leaving many Apple sites to cry foul.

* Katie actually knows the reason why: explanation.
V A Note About Apple Certifications
* We've gotten a lot of questions recently about Apple Certifications and the truth is there's much more to say than can be covered just by answering a question or two on the show. We're in the process of putting together an entire show to talk about Apple Certifications. Our hope is to possibly bring in a guest host or two. We hope to have something done later this summer, stay tuned.
